The Royal Couple of Kupang, The Raja and Ratu of Kupang visited Malaysia in January 2008 on the invitation from friends of the Royal House of Kupang in Malaysia. The visit was one focusing on establishing close working relationships in the support of activities of the Royal House of Kupang especially in the areas of education and small business. 


The visit provided the Royal Couple to meet people from various countries such as Malaysia, China, Indonesia, Australia, New Zealand, Japan,Taiwan, and parts of Europe. This was possible through a few international functions in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

The Raja and Ratu of Kupang were Special Guests at an International Presentation Ceremony held at the luxurious Sunway Lagoon Hotel where guests from all over the world were present.

At the International Presentation Ceremony, a scholarship scheme for education and training under the Patronage of the Royal House of Kupang was launched. This was made possible by the initiation of the Regalis Charitable Trust of New Zealand.

The Scholarship Scheme under the Patronage of the Royal House of Kupang will work towards providing scholarships to needy students and working adults in the area of Kupang to advance the development of human capital.

At present, scholarships will be granted to selected school children and recently funds had been granted for other projects supporting the needy in Kupang.
